Think it through...
17 Sept 2015
More often than not I am called in to help a client that has decided to go it alone with a refurbishment or interior update without taking pause to see the space that they are actually tackling with fresh eyes. Emotionally involved is what therapists call it I think (actually I know that is what they call it!).. Sadly for most, by the time I arrive at the scene of an attempted style I am faced with an anxious couple or worst of all, a wife that thought she'd slip in a sneaky home makeover whilst hubby is away on an overseas business trip! Take it from me, think this through, I promise a fresh canvas or paired back cavernous space is far easier to tackle when there isn’t a giant 12 seater corner lounge with contrasting armchairs in pea soup coloured micro fibre staring awkwardly back at you. Old habits are hard to break and you don't always need the entire guided service of an Interior Stylist to complete you project . However, a hastily purchased, disproportioned piece of furniture that is not only non-refundable but cost two terms school fees is much harder to write off than a half hour consult with trained eyes!!
